Dry Beer

Before the 70's the top season of beer gardens was mid summer, because it was not as hot as it is in Tokyo and the price of  air-conditioners was too high for ordinary family. Most of the department stores ran beer gardens on their roof top and a lot of business people enjoyed beer after work. A major brand 'Asahi Super Dry'  was born in the mid 80's. At that time Asah faced tough time, because they had no popular brand and Kirin dominated the Japanese beer market. As it has been getting hotter since the 80's  due to climate change, Japanese consumers wanted to drink more dry taste beer than it was in humid summer  Asahi succeeded in meeting this change.

Both leaders are very famous as right wingers, but they can not bridge the gap between their political tactics. The difference of the tactics has been clear since they started to talk about an integration with the Yui party. Ishihara believes that the party has no intention of amending the Japanese constitution, so Ishin should not integrate with Yui. and replace the Komei party withir as a allegiance party of the LDP.  As for Hashimoto, he thinks that the priority issue for Ishin is becoming the second major party beyond the DPJ. so Ishin should integrate with Yui

Why do big commercial facilities in the center of Tokyo have beautiful Japanese gardens?

Why do big commercial facilities in the center of Tokyo have beautiful Japanese gardens?  Even skyscrapers, for example Roppongi hills, have a beautiful Japanese garden. In the Edo period, lords called 'daimyo' had to live in Edo every other year, although they had territories in rural areas. Therefore the shogunate had given land in Edo to lords for  their manor houses. There were more than 200 beautiful manor houses in Edo. These manor houses had been deprived by the Meiji government and the government had given them to new noble society members. However the members were striped of their privileges by GHQ after World War 2, and after that new rich companies have bought up the manor houses with beautiful gardens.
